Decades ago, splints were an effective solution for many with carpal tunnel issues. They still can be, and their design has much improved. The flesh toned, bulky, and unsightly orthopedic models of yesterday with rough fabric clamps and brackets have been replaced by Velcro straps, soft fabric, and padded interiors.
